A local organization donates feminine products in help of young girls
A new local organization October 26 donated menstrual products to young girls in rural areas around Alabama.

Tuscaloosa, Ala-
October 26th and The Women and Gender Resources center partnered to may this feminine hygiene drop-off a reality. The first Menstrual drive was held between March 1st- April 7th. The drive is on-going and are still accepting donations as they come. The proceeds will be given to schools in the Alabama area such as: Central High School, Hale County High School, and Conecuh High School. The products will be distributed through the Board of Education starting on April 19th, 2021.

“ Everything about October 26th inspires me to keep moving forward and I believe no one should be without menstrual products” said Parker. “ I love to help and its my duty of service, I want to give as much as possible to those in my community”.

October 26th was formed through the Levitetz Grant which is a grant funded by the Jeff Levitatz, University of Alabama New College Alumnae. October 26th is a new organization started on the University of Alabama and says they will be donating to more schools throughout the year.
