Trunk or Treat at Saint Paul Baptist Church
Saint Paul Baptist Church held its first Trunk or Treat today! The members lined up their cars in a circle and filled their trunks with Halloween decor. The church wanted to have a safe and fun event for everyone in their church community. The trunks were filled with spiders, Frankenstein, graveyards, and candy. Fire Station eight decided to take part in the event by allowing children to get inside of the truck and take a look at so of the gears while also educating them on fire safety.
Alicia Weaber, the 1st Lady of Saint Paul Baptist Church says she enjoys interacting with children and wanted to ensure a safe environment for all.
"I love children first and foremost and I just love interacting with children and we wanted them to be somewhere safe, with a safe environment so they could still have fun and just come out and just have fun in the community with their church family."
The trunk or treat is something their church community will look forward to next year and they encourage all from Tuscaloosa and Northport to join them.
